How do I achieve ombré lips?

finally – an insta-trending make-up look that actually works in real life. ‘An ombré lip can look incredible,’ confirms pro make-up artist Lisa Potter Dixon. ‘Plus, it makes the lips look fuller.’ It may sound tricky, but is actually easy to master – just think of it as applying one darker shade to enhance the lip line and complement­ing this with a lighter shade in the centre. When choosing your colours, ‘Avoid shades that are too similar as these will just blend into each other,’ advises Lisa. ‘If you’re going for an orange lip, use a soft peach as the centre colour. For a nude, try a complement­ary highlighte­r in the centre instead of another lip product.’ Still hesitant? ‘The secret to nailing ombré lips is to play around and see what works – test shades on the back of your hand if you’re unsure.’
