MORE WORK TO BE DONE

When I read It’s 100 days since George Floyd’s killing... so what’s changed? (21 Sept) it made me stop and think. City councillors have vowed to reform police departments, statues have toppled and corporations have promised greater diversity and inclusivity. Good; but clearly there is more work to be done. What worries me is that future generations will still struggle with ‘Black lives matter’. I am fed up to the back teeth knowing that some people think they are more important than others. I want my children to grow up in a world that believes in hard work and honesty. Being a good person. And most importantly, treating everyone equally, regardless of skin colour.
