A sizzling hot thriller you won’t want to miss!

Female-led and with a stellar cast, Don’t Worry Darling is a big screen hot ticket – a psychological thriller with a chilling twist…

-

IT’S THE STUFF of casting dreams. One of our favourite actresses – and unique, mesmerising talent – Florence Pugh starring alongside music and style icon Harry Styles in luscious psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling. Not only that, but the film is directed by Olivia Wilde, the breakthrough director of whip-smart coming-of-age comedy Booksmart, for which she won a slew of accolades.

Also in the mix, British star Gemma Chan (Crazy Rich Asians), and rising stars Kiki Layne, Kate Berlant and Sydney Chandler, deftly putting the authentic female experience front and centre in this original, electric story.

In Don’t Worry Darling, Florence and Harry play Alice and Jack, a married couple leading a seemingly idyllic life in a 1950s Californian utopian community called Victory. All the husbands work for the top secret Victory corporation while their wives are ladies who lunch (and cook and clean and listen to Victory propaganda). But when

Alice begins to question the strict rules of the community – allegedly designed to keep all the residents ‘safe’ – and challenges Victory’s enigmatic leader Frank, played by Chris Pine, the whole set-up starts to look a lot more sinister. For Alice, everything begins to unravel… with terrifying consequences.

Florence, who already has Academy Award and BAFTA nominations under her belt (for 2019’s Little Women), dazzles in the lead role, cementing her status as one of Britain’s most versatile young actresses. Harry, meanwhile, hot on the heels of his Harry’s House album success, reprises his considerable acting chops, first brought to our attention in Oscar-nominated Dunkirk.

The film is, in director Olivia Wilde’s own

words, a ‘love letter to the movies that push the boundaries of our imagination’. Tense, gripping and with shocking twists, the movie is also visually stunning. Working from a script by her Booksmart partner, Katie Silberman, Olivia’s direction shines through in a feast for the eyes, with a creative team that includes cinematographer Matthew Libatique (Black Swan, for which he earned his first Oscar nomination) production designer Katie Byron (also Booksmart) and three-time Academy Award-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips.

Stylish, slick and edge-of-your seat enthralling, Don’t Worry Darling is guaranteed to be the star of your next watercooler chat. Don’t miss this hypnotic thriller on the big screen!

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is in cinemas 23 Sept
