Average house price lowest in country

THE average price of a house in Inverclyde was the lowest in the whole of Scotland in September this year.

Figures released by Walker Fraser Steele chartered surveyors show that the average pricetag for the local area stood at £147,352 - the lowest of all local authorities within that month.

But the figure marked an increase of 1.9 per cent on August, and a 2.6 per cent rise since September 2021.
