ON a lovely morning at Battery Park 24 youngsters took part in the latest junior parkrun.

Olivia Lyne, Louis Reid, for the third week in a row, James Reid, Kiera Gregory, Aidan Barry, James Mooney, Bruce Byrne, for the second week in a row, and Conor Jenkins all achieved personal bests.

Olivia now holds the record for the quickest female time at Battery Park junior parkrun. Well done Olivia on running 07.46. Louis Reid followed closely behind, coming in at 7.50.

Three milestone wristbands were awarded. Orla Barry received her half marathon wristband and brothers Harry and James Mooney both received their marathon wristbands.

Birthday wishes go to Lucy, who was eight during the week, and Lily who was celebrating her birthday on Sunday.

The 15 volunteers helping this week were Catriona Anderson, Lynne Fulton, James Gavin, Jenny Gregg, Tracey Howe, Dan Lassman, Mila Lassman, Fiona Macfarlane, Lucy Macfarlane, Erin McEleny, Rachel Neil, Rudi Stetz, Susanne Stetz, Dominic Townsend and Sarah Ward.

Battery Park junior parkrun would not be possible to go ahead every week without the volunteers.

Organisers are still short of volunteers for the next few weeks. If anyone can help this Sunday, or in the future, email at batteryparkjuniors@parkrun.com or send a message to the Facebook page. We also have a Twitter page @batteryparkrun
