‘Unfit mum’ attack case recalls

A WOMAN who assaulted her former partner after he branded her an ‘unfit mother’ failed to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court for sentencing.

Kayleigh Gittens, 21, punched the man on the head after ‘nursing’ anger over him contacting social workers about her, the court was told previously.

She committed the offence during a flashpoint confrontation in Wemyss Bay earlier this year.

Sentence has been further deferred until November 23 for her personal appearance.
