PAGE TURNERS Tots enjoy Bookbug session
TOTS were in fine voice at a special Bookbug session to mark Book Week Scotland. It was hosted by supervisor Anne Robinson at Inverkip Library and enjoyed a Scottish theme, with a a sing-a-long, nursery rhymes and other games. Mum Jackie Gilbride, 36, who brought along her two-year-old son Cameron, said: “I think it’s important for children to be around books. We read every night, so these sessions are both good fun and educational.” Catriona Semple, 41, brought her son Magnus along for the first time. She said: “It’s a great initiative and it’s lovely to see it so wellattended.” Anne added: “Our sessions are always popular, but it was nice to tie in with the book week event. This is a drop-in, so there is no need for people to worry about booking - and the children love it.”
