Port woman sent to rehab

A PORT Glasgow woman charged with shoplifting from the town’s Boots store on three occasions is now in a residential rehabilitation centre, the sheriff court has been told.

Jamie Lee Kerr, 34, of Markinch Road, is accused of targeting the shop in May, June and September last year and is also charged with stealing aftershave from Semichem.

Her lawyer Aidan Gallagher told the court that she is scheduled to remain in rehab for the next six months.

The case is due to call again for a ‘notional’ trial diet on December 2 for an update.
