Care jobs for young people

A PUSH is on to bring young people into the local home care service.

Health and social care bosses say the average age of their social care workforce is 46 and they want to attract young people into it.

Since Covid, many staff have left the service and now a high profile recruitment campaign is under way to replace them.

In a bid to increase the pool for recruitment, management from the health and social care partnership are aiming to hire people from all age groups.
