It’s taken a while to reach our shores, but the best things are worth waiting for, right? This eight-part drama aired in the US in April and was available over here via streaming service Starzplay, but now the BBC is making it free to view. It’s based on the non-fiction book of the same name by American journalist Jake Adelstein, and focuses on his experiences while living and working in the city, where he was the first nonJapanese reporter employed by one of the nation’s largest newspapers, Yomiuri Shinbun. Ansel Elgort heads the cast as Adelstein.
