Mental health in the frame

HUNDREDS of pounds have been raised for a youth mental health project through an exhibition displaying the work of a popular late local artist.

The event was held at Skelmorlie & Wemyss Bay Parish manse earlier this month, with over 100 people coming along to see the works of Greenock-born artist Gavin Nicol, who passed away in March 2020.

The showcase was curated by Gavin’s wife Frances and it raised £800 for the Clearer Minds project which helps school pupils.
