Two men face knife charge

-

TWO men have been charged with throwing knives towards a fast food shop in Greenock whilst allegedly making foul-mouthed racist remarks.

Brian Grierson, 57, and Colin Hoodless, 45, are said to have hurled blades at the Saba premises on Newton Street from the window of a first floor flat.

Prosecutors say the pair committed the alleged offences on May 18, 2020.

Hoodless, of Newton Street, and Grierson, of Tower Drive in Gourock, are also charged, along with a third accused, Fiona Dickson, 45, of Innes Park Road in Skelmorlie, of shouting, swearing and uttering racist remarks towards Saba staff on May 21 in 2020.

The trio were due to stand trial at the sheriff court but the case had to be adjourned for a procedural reason.

It is now scheduled to be heard next March.
