Calls for big indy crowds

ALBA Party chiefs are calling for a big turnout at a rally in Greenock town centre tonight.

It has been arranged to coincide with the Supreme Court’s ruling on whether the Scottish Parliament can call a second independence referendum.

The Greenock rally will be held at Lyle Fountain in Cathcart Square, with those attending asked to gather at 5.15pm.

An Alba Party spokesperson said: “We will be supporting and encourage all of our members to get along to the Time for Scotland rallies taking place across the country.”

“Scotland’s future should be determined by the people of Scotland - not Westminster or the UK Supreme Court.”
