Caitlyn in try award

GREENOCK Wanderers Ladies 1st XV have won Scottish Rugby Union’s try of the month award.

The winning try came in their recent trip to Wigtownshire, which saw a tackle turnover, then a 70 metre dash by fullback Katie Purves and follow-up play giving Caitlyn Haldane, pictured, an easy score.

The Ladies were the only non-Premiership team on the shortlist and outvoted them all with a whopping 49 per cent of the vote.
