Vandals deface community hall

VANDALS defaced a wall at Auchmountain Community Hall with offensive graffiti.

Ward councillor Colin Jackson has condemned those responsible for the attack at the Burnhead Street centre.

He said: “This is the first time that I can remember the centre being vandalised and from the slogan it seems to be the handiwork of young ones from outwith the east end.

“The team at Auchmountain do so much work supporting young ones and their families.

“They have far more important things to do than cleaning up this mess.” Anyone with information about the attack should contact Greenock police on 101.
