Warning over break-in bids

REPORTS of suspicious individuals trying the doors of homes across Inverclyde have been brought to the attention of local police.

Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Police Division has confirmed it is aware of posts circulating on social media about people attempting to access properties in Wemyss Bay, Inverkip and Gourock.

They are urging anyone with concerns to get in touch with the police.

People can make contact and report suspicious activity by calling 101, or information can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
