Vaccine drop-in session at Town Hall

-

A COVID-19 and flu dropin vaccination session is taking place at Greenock Town Hall this weekend.

Jabs are available at present to those over the age of 65, staff working in frontline health and social care and people who have not yet had a first or second Covid-19 vaccination.

The drop-in will be open on Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Anne Harkness, NHS GGC vaccination programme director, said: “We are pleased to be offering dropin services for those who are eligible or who have not yet had their initial Covid vaccinations.

“Previous drop-in services have been a great success and we would encourage those eligible to attend one of our clinics.

“We would like to encourage members of the public who are eligible for a vaccination, especially those who are under the age of 65, to continue to book appointments through NHS Inform as this will help to avoid potential queues at vaccination centres.

“However, we recognise that some people would rather utilise a drop-in opportunity, which is why we are pleased to be able to offer this service once again.”
