NATURE CALLS Pupils love new project

-

YOUNG nature fans at All Saints Primary have been learning more about the world around them through an exciting outdoor project.

Pupils in P6A have been working with the team at Belville Community Garden, who joined them on a nature trail to learn more about trees and how they can help the environment.

Some other topics of discussion have included mini beasts, compost and different habitats.

P6A class teacher Erin Haggerty says the project has been great for helping the youngsters with their communication skills.

She said: “We’re very fortunate where we live, as we have fantastic greenspace around us.

“Speaking to the team at Belville has helped children form opinions and express themselves using new words they’ve learned from their discussions.

“They’ve all really enjoyed it.”
