Church open for a blether

THE latest bowl and blether at St Margaret’s Church in Greenock will be on Saturday December 10.

It is open from 11.30am and soup will be served between noon and 1.30pm.

Moira Hellyer, session clerk, said they were inspired by a similar event at St John’s in Gourock.

She said: “St John’s have been running a Bowl and Blether for some time, so we thought we would give it a bash.

“This month we had 29 people and the ladies had to go and make more soup, so we are building on that.”
