Kind bosses donate to hospice

BIG-HEARTED bosses at a reopened Greenock chippy cooked up a three-figure sum for charity.

Mario’s Chippy on Grosvenor Road celebrated its official opening with a special deal on suppers, with a cut of funds raised going towards Ardgowan Hospice. New boss Mario Rosso and the team donated £1 from every supper sold to Ardgowan. Customers also donated their loose change in collection buckets and £569 was raised, Hospice fundraiser Leonna Gallacher was on hand to receive the donation.

She said: “We are so grateful to Mario and their team for supporting the hospice and wish them all the best with their new venture.”
