A fighting spirit

IT is impossible not to be impressed by brave Alyson Doolan’s outlook on life.

She was forced to give up her beloved job caring for animals at Shore Vets when she suddenly fell ill after suffering a massive seizure.

The career she valued so greatly was stolen from her as she was left paralysed and faced three months in hospital where she had to learn how to move again.

But rather than wallow in self-pity, the determined mum-of-one instead set about rebuilding her life.

She started her own company and her creativity is already winning awards.

One thing is for sure, if she applies the same admirable approach to building her business as she did to getting back on her feet, there will be no stopping her.
