Man charged with break-ins

A GREENOCK man has been charged with trying to break in to two business premises on the same day.

Kevin McGowan, 36, attempted to force open locked shutters at the Liquor Shed and Stewart’s Amusements on West Stewart Street on March 15 last year, it is alleged.

McGowan, of Broadford Terrace, has pleaded not guilty through lawyer Aidan Gallagher at the sheriff court.

The case is due to call again next February.
