THIS shot taken in 2012 shows the team at the Salvation Army Greenock HQ with just a fraction of the toys donated to them for their annual Christmas Toy Appeal.

This year’s appeal is in full swing and donations of a gift for a girl or boy can be made at Regent Street and Tesco stores.

SCHOOLGIRL Skye McCabe is well known for her production of Reindeer Food that she sells in Greenock’s Tesco to generate funds for the purchase of toys for children less fortunate.

Skye was photograph­ed at the store with workers from the Inverclyde Foodbank in 2016.

EARLY indication­s suggest online shopping and sales in shops are holding up well in the face of the recent economic challenges.
