GIBSHILL Children’s Centre raised almost £300 at a recent offee morning.

Top raffle prizes including a trip to the MV Captayanni­s, provided by Clyde Charters, fish suppers from Louis chippy and M&S vouchers.

Other items were donated by Mackenzie Butchers, Morton, Smiths, Tesco, the

Waterfront Cinema and the Waterfront Leisure Centre.

Jenna Hemphill, head of centre at Gibshill, said: “We had a great turnout. It was a fantastic response from everyone to help us out.”

Staff were also delighted at the day swelling coffers by just 63p short of £300.

Pamela Watt, family support worker, added: “Parents of children at the nursery made a wonderful effort to provide home baking.

“We would like to thank everyone who helped.”
