Tots show off moves at dance session

ENERGETIC youngsters at a Greenock nursery got to show off their best dance moves when they tried out a popular style of class for the first time.

Young fitness fanatics at Glenpark Early Learning Centre were led through a special zumba session by early years education and childcare officer Karen O’Donnell.

Karen helped the children have a fun time moving around to some of their favourite tunes while carrying out simple exercises.

Glenpark has a jam-packed fitness programme in place, with activities like dance, yoga and football.

After feedback received from the children following the zumba session, the dance-focused exercise programme will be added to the list.

Karen said: “We’re very focused on the children’s physical and mental health and wellbeing here at

Glenpark. The children really enjoy exploring fun and energetic activities.

“Activities like this help them realise it’s fun to be active.

“It’s about keeping them motivated and engaged in physical activity and keeping it fun at all times.”
