A good point
MORTON’S unbeaten run continued on Saturday in Arbroath as a a team far from their best secured a hard fought point in a match which epitomised the traditional ‘game of two halves’.
I would suggest Morton edged the first half but we were certainly second best for most of the second, therefore a draw was just about the correct result.
Unfortunately the dropping of two points saw us drop from second to fourth place in the Championship, but at the same time most definitely keeps us in the hunt for promotion.
I think it would be fair to say that not many of us supporters would have expected us to be in a challenging position at this time of the season, so there is definitely progress being made and again many of us would be happy to finish the league where we are right now.
It will be interesting to see if the club improves the squad in January, perhaps allowing us to believe that challenging for the title is a true aspiration within the club as a whole.
