CULINARY DUO BACK ON SCREENS

Chef John Torode MBE and home cook Lisa Faulkner will be back on ITV1 and ITVX this autumn for series nine of John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.

Following the success of series eight and their Australian adventure series earlier this year, a further 10 episodes have been announced – fronted by the hugely popular culinary couple.

The new series will see the perfect partnershi­p serve up a mix of delicious, exciting and original family-favourite dishes that encompass time-saving and cost effective hacks that viewers are familiar with. The series – set to return on Saturday mornings – will deliver mouth-watering themes including “Top Traybakes”, “Time Saving Treats”, “Simple But Special” and “Fakeaway-tastic Feasts”.

John Torode said: “We are back! We have been preparing for series 9 of Weekend Kitchen which has just been incredible – these dishes will blow your mind this autumn. We really cannot wait to reveal more soon!”

New recipes for the show include “Take 5” – an array of tasty dishes using just five key ingredient­s, from “Breezy Brunches” for leisurely weekends to new takes on classic traditiona­l meals during “In a Spin”. The new episodes feature a mix of “Weekend Warmers” and “Decadent Dishes” that will provide the ultimate guiltfree, comforting cuisine for the autumnal months ahead.

“Flour Power” explores delicious and imaginativ­e uses for the kitchen cupboard staple, including glutenfree dishes.

Lisa Faulkner said: “We are so happy to be back for another brilliant series. Weekend Kitchen never feels like work for us which is why we love it so much. We adore putting together these dishes and new recipes!”

The show, produced by ITV Studios Daytime, will return on 1 April.
