NHS supplier to aid the public in pandemic fight

-

SPECIALIST NHS medical supplier Braun and Co has developed a range of essential PPE to sell directly to the public for the first time, including no-contact thermometers and oximeters. After working round the clock to supply the NHS and global healthcare market with life-saving ventilators as Covid-19 reached its peak, the family-run firm, based in Barton, is now using its expertise and experience to launch an online shop for individual and business customers.

The range includes medical grade non-contact thermometers and oximeters, surgical masks, goggles and face shields. Also available are information signs and floor graphics.

Jamie Shepherd, director, said: “We are proud to be able to play such a vital role in this global emergency.

“Supplying life-saving products to the NHS is something we do on a daily basis, but never on this scale before.

“Now our focus is also on being able to provide essential prevention and protection equipment to businesses and individuals who are re-opening businesses, returning to work, and beginning to get back the ‘new’ normal.

“It’s vital that your PPE is fit for purpose and we can guarantee that these products are.”

The team at Braun and Co have been busier than ever since the outbreak of the pandemic, shipping ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and other essential medical supplies, to NHS hospitals. They also provided private sector hospitals and Unicef with products from its range of over 2,000 items.

Lucy Lyon, business development director, said: “Our workforce has shown a huge amount of commitment and positivity over the last few extremely busy months, enabling us to get vital products out the door as quickly as possible. Now they’ll be helping thousands of people to feel safer as they go about their daily lives, and we’d like to thank them for all their support.

“Our suppliers have also been magnificent - a special thank you to MD Signs, a fellow Barton business, who pulled out all the stops to get the labels for the oxygen concentrators to us in record time in the early days of the lockdown when things were really challenging.”
