A LUCKY Louth woman has scooped a huge £100,000 EuroMillions win. Laura Hatch, 27, woke up to discover she was £100,576 richer after buying a lucky dip for a draw earlier this month.

Her partner, Chris, 26, tried his luck in the same draw but only came away with £3.

Laura’s winning EuroMillions lucky dip ticket matched the five main numbers - 12, 19, 37, 44, 45 and the Lucky Star number 2 in the EuroMillions draw on February 5. Laura, a graphic designer and web content manager, said: “I had literally just woken up and was sitting in bed scrolling on my phone.

“We both logged into our National Lottery online accounts and Chris discovered he had won £3 in the EuroMillions draw.

“I had bought two EuroMillions Lucky Dip tickets for the same draw so I just thought I may as well check my tickets too.

“I quickly realised I had won something and thought it was probably £3 like Chris.

“My eyes were really tired and I couldn’t see clearly what was in front of me so I asked Chris to check for me.

“He just burst out with ‘You have won £100k’.

“I said ‘No, never, something like this wouldn’t happen to us!’ “And he said ‘No, really, you absolutely have!’

“I just couldn’t believe it. We just sat looking at each other – I was totally gobsmacked – there are no other words for it!

“It was only when I actually called Camelot to confirm I really did have a winning ticket that I started to believe that what I was seeing was in fact true!” Laura, who moved from Essex to Louth to live closer to her family, said a deposit on a house with a garage and garden is now a top priority, together with a motorbike for Chris and a dream holiday as soon as it is allowed and safe to do so.

She added, “How many 27 yearolds can say they have enough money to put a deposit on a house? “This win really is a life-changer for us. All of those things I have dreamed about can now become a reality.”

The couple, who currently live in a Shared Ownership house, say a new build is something they have always dreamed of owning but never believed they would be able to afford.

Laura said: “So many new opportunities have now opened up to us. It is an incredible feeling. We are both looking forward to making some very special memories together.” Laura said she and Chris will continue to play The National Lottery in the years to come.

She added: “You always think something like this doesn’t happen to people like us. But we are proof it absolutely does!

“This win will definitely make life so much easier for us and we certainly intend to keep playing.”

This win really is a lifechanger for us. All of those things I have dreamed about can now become a reality – So many new opportunities have now opened up to us. It is an incredible feeling
