We need to be freed

-

THE call for an early end to the lockdown is gathering momentum and it’s not surprising when we look at recent developments.

Schools are set to go back in March and by April around 32 million people over the age of 50, plus all those in vulnerable groups, will have had at least one jab.

They, presumably, run little risk of serious illness, and most of the younger age groups are unlikely to suffer badly from the disease.

So confident is the Government about this that it’s actually going to infect a group of people under 30 with the virus so it can test vaccines and treatments.

It begs the question, an extended lockdown is protecting who, exactly?
