You’re about to be rewarded with another incredible joyful and heart-breaking hour of telly, written by the wondrous Russell T Davies, as this miniseries draws to a close. It’s November 1991, the AIDS crisis is raging on (Freddie Mercury died that month, just a day after announcing he had the disease), and inside the Pink Palace the flatmates are pulling together to help. But it’s not just the spectre of the disease they’re fighting, it’s the fear and prejudice that goes along with it. However there’s still hope to be found, even in the darkest days.
