98,000 have had first jab in northern Lincs
COVID-19 HAS SEEN 36.5% OF REGION’S
JUST over a third of people living in northern Lincolnshire have now received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
A total of 98,175 people – or 36.5 per cent – had their first jab of the life-saving vaccine between December 8 and February 21.
While another 4,230 people have had their second within the same time frame, equalling out to 102,405 jabs overall.
Of those, 48,205 jabs were given in North East Lincolnshire and another 54,200 were in North Lincolnshire. This means around 63.5 per cent of the combined populations in North and North East Lincolnshire are yet to receive their first dose.
This week, NHS England has released information on who has received a vaccination on an area-byarea basis.
The areas which have vaccinated the most residents so far are Brigg and South Ferriby, with a total of 3,768 jabs given out since December 8. Following closely behind is Holtonle-Clay, Binbrook and Tetney with 3,370 jabs, Caistor, Kelsey and Keelby with 3,323, Sacrtho with 3,237 and New Waltham with 3,135. Residents in New Clee have received the least with 932 – but the area’s population count and ratio of above-80s will have influenced its figures, as with all areas.
