FLORAL tributes have been laid for tragic Adam Barber, who died after apparently falling over and banging his head during the first night back in the pubs after lockdown. Tragic Adam, 21, died in hospital after emergency services were called to the Grant Street area of Cleethorpes at about 7.15pm on Monday. Some tributes also include pictures of Adam, whose dad told Grimsby Live his son’s death was a “tragic accident”. At the scene the day after the tragedy, he said: “He’d just lost his grandad and just came out to enjoy the first night back when he accidentally fell over and hit his head.

“Adam was a normal young lad who was just trying to make his way home, he was meant to start a new job today as well.

“This is just a tragic accident.” Humberside Police said: “We were called to Grant Street in Cleethorpes shortly before 7.15pm on Monday, April 12. A man was reported to have collapsed in the e street and there was s concern for his welfare re and safety. Emergency ncy services attended immediately and took a 21-year-old man to hospital for treatment. “Sadly the man passed away in hospital.

“Our sympathies are with his family and friends at this very difficult time. The circumstances s of the man’s death are not thought to be suspicious and enquiries will continue to est establish the cause of his passing.”

Just hours later, 44-yearold Ian Me Meek, the bar manager at the Coach House in Humberston, sadly collapsed and died in Sea View Street. He is understood to have died from natural causes.
