Vaccine - is Boris hiding something?
BORIS Johnson’s assertion that it was lockdown rather than the vaccine that generated the huge drop in virus numbers seemed a bit puzzling.
Having hailed the jab as the “cavalry”, the magic bullet to return society to normality, why is he now rowing back? Does he know something that he isn’t telling us? Are the new variants more of a threat than we’re led to believe?
If sticking to masks and social distancing is still the prime requirement, what is the point of the vaccine?
Haven’t we been told that the jab, now given to almost all over 50s, protects us from serious illness and reduces transmission?
Yet we’re warned that both infections and deaths will rise as we come out of lockdown. So with the vulnerable top nine groups already vaccinated, who is actually at risk?
It would be interesting to know the age range of the people still succumbing to the disease. Had they been vaccinated? And if so, what happened?
