Bargains at Twinkles as fancy dress shop reopens for last time
GRADE II LISTED BUILDING CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET
TWINKLES fancy-dress shop is offering bargains galore as it enters its final months of trading.
The popular Cleethorpes store has reopened after lockdown to get rid of its remaining stock. The iconic Grade II listed building is currently on the market, but will still be open to customers until a buyer is found. The costume shop was hard hit by the Covid pandemic. Owner Kath Darker said: “The last few weeks or months will be quite sad, as we will have been here 23 years in July.
“We will be open until the building is sold, which could be some time yet.
“There is lots of stock available if people want to come down and get a bargain. Some items have been reduced to as little as £1.
“If anyone has a party or a performance coming up later in the year, now is the chance to get some great costumes for it.
“Sadly, three-quarters of our trade came through hiring costumes which isn’t really possible anymore. “It has been lovely to be open again and interacting with people after the lockdown. Long-time customers have been buying memorabilia that they have fond memories of.”
The shop on Grimsby Road is open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
Kath plans to retire once the shop, which she has run for more than two decades, is sold.

It also has an animal-print kitchen.
