An award for those who help our area
IT HAS been very interesting during these sad times to read about the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme for the young.
Just to reiterate, this scheme gets people involved within the communities in which they live.
What a shame that there is not a similar scheme for those of a certain age that do their best looking out for their neighbours and for the area where they live!
I am talking about things such as litter picking and making the area look nice. It is often the older generation who are the ones that step forward when any help is required.
Perhaps this bit of publicity from the Grimsby Telegraph will help spur some action?
Just a thought.
