AN appeal has been launched to help two little girls after their dad died in a stabbing and their mum is now on remand.

The girls aged nine and three lost their father Adam Krozolinowski, 32, who died on Freeman Street, Grimsby.

Mr Krozolinowski, of Duncombe Street, died in hospital after suffering stab wounds outside the Freeman Arms on Freeman Street shortly after 8pm on Saturday, April 24. He was found with stab wounds after a garden party took place earlier in the day to mark wife Anna Krozolinowski’s 27th birthday.

She has been charged with murder and has been remanded in custody.

When she appeared in court the distraught mum-of-two broke down and said ‘I need my children’ after hearing a trial probably wouldn’t take place until the end of the year. The children are now in the care of their maternal grandmother in Grimsby, with other family members and the Polish community rallying around them to help. A fundraising page has been set up to support the girls and their grandmother.

A spokeswoman for the family told the Grimsby Telegraph: “The children have started to ask questions - it is a difficult time for everyone.

“The school has been supportive and doing as much as possible to maintain their routine as much as they can. I just worry about the kids.” The gofundme appeal states: “The aim of this fundraiser is to help get a head start on this difficult journey of a very changed life for two little girls.

Their grandmother has been left in charge and is taking care of young ones.

“Any contributions are highly welcomed, thank you.”

So far, it has raised just over £1,400. An appeal has also been made to help with clothes for the children, with the youngest needing clothes aged 4-5 and the eldest size to fit a 10-year-old.

At Anna Krozolinowski’s last court hearing, it set out the time-frame for preparations for trial and to set a date for the trial itself. Medical reports on Mrs Krolikowski will be drawn up and considered by the court in June and July, and the full trial has been set for November 29 and scheduled for seven days.

Judge Thackray told the defendant: “Your team is obtaining a medical report about you, you need to cooperate in the production of this report. Your team are also constructing the case for your defence, it is important that you co-operate with them. If you fail to do so that can count against you at trial.

“You have the right to give evidence at your trial. If you fail to attend the trial you will be tried in your absence and you will forfeit your right to give evidence.”

She was remanded in custody until her next appearance on July 13.
