STOCKWOOD AND PETTIT EAGER TO WRITE A NEW CHAPTER WITH MARINERS
GRIMSBY Town’s new owners are encouraging fans to help them in rebuilding the club, and create something “we can all be proud of”.
Jason Stockwood and Andrew Pettit begin their time in charge at Blundell Park after completing their takeover on Wednesday. The pair have already outlined their plans going forward, which includes a fan survey to gauge what supporters want going forward.
A number of new measures are in the offing, including a new fan zone – which the Mariners Trust have already teased this year – and a new ticketing system, while information about season tickets is expected to be released soon. “We’re looking forward to going on this journey with them (the fans) – it’s a partnership, and we want to build something together that we can all be proud of,” Stockwood told the Telegraph. “Come and join us, fill the stadium, buy season tickets if you can, and whatever your skills or talents are, it’s going to take the whole community to make this a success.
“I’m looking forward to the partnership, and looking forward to an open conversation and dialogue with the fans about how we can improve the organisation.” Pettit added: “This is hopefully y a new beginning, a new chapter r in the history of the club we all love.
“We’re here because we’re passionate fans, and we’re like everybody else out there in that respect, so come along and support the team.
“We want to really improve the matchday experience, and we want to work with the fans to understand what their priorities are in the day-to-day experience. “We want to hear people’s ideas, so we’d encourage everyone to come to us with their thoughts.”
