Tragedy as man dies following collision with tree near plant entrance
POLICE APPEALING FOR WITNESSES
A MAN has sadly died following a collision which took place on Thursday morning, Humberside Police have confirmed.
Shortly before 11am, emergency services were called to the scene on Moody Lane, Grimsby, near the Novartis Pharmaceuticals plant on the Pyewipe Industrial Estate with reports that a lorry had left the road and collided with a tree.
A Lives emergency fast responder, a paramedic in a fast response car, two ambulances and an air ambulance attended the incident, along with Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after the accident took place.
Humberside Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage in the area around the same time as the incident to contact them.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “A man has sadly died following a collision on Moody Lane, Grimsby, yesterday morning, Thursday, May 12.
“We were called shortly before 11am with reports that a lorry had left the road and collided with a tree.
“Emergency services attended however a man was sadly pronounced deceased at hospital a short time later.
