WELL done Home Secretary Suella Braverman for accusing chief constables and police and crime commission­ers of being too soft on eco protesters.

Police must take a firmer line against protesters before somebody is killed.

It was only a few days ago that members of the Met were spotted giving tea and coffee to protesters in London.

Respecting human rights ahead of domestic freedom of movement on heavily congested roads and on public transport takes the biscuit.

If anything, it is yet another reason for a British Bill Of Rights to put our own enforcemen­t authoritie­s back in control.
