Christmas Market returns for 40th year

LINCOLN Christmas Market will return in all its festive glory for its 40th anniversary in just a matter of days - and it’s just a stone’s throw away from Grimsby.
Set to take place from Thursday, December 1 to Sunday, December 4 on Castle Hill, the market is celebrating its 40th year running and will include more than 250 stalls for visitors to enjoy.
Entrance to the market and Lincoln Castle is completely free, and visitors can even enjoy an Illuminated Wall Walk at a small extra fee.
Entertainment acts will include the Lincoln Rock Choir, Lincoln Ukulele Band, University of Lincoln Dance Society, Phoenix Harmonies and many others.
The operating times of the market are as follows:
■ Thursday, December 1: Midday to 9.30pm
■ ■ Friday, December 2: 10am to 9.30pm ■ ■ Saturday, December 3: 10am to 9.30pm
■ ■ Sunday, December 4: 10am to 7pm
There is no parking in the vicinity of the market, but visitors can book a park and ride service from Lincolnshire Showground on the A15, just north of Lincoln. Tickets for park and ride cost £12 and can be booked at www.lincolnchristmasmarket.co.uk christmasmarket.
