Looking after those in need

THE Autumn Statement by Jeremy Hunt and under the magnificent leadership of Rishi Sunak proves that this government is one of compassionate Conservatism that looks after those in need and at the point of their need.

It is an economic statement aimed at helping the most vulnerable in society through tough times with their energy bills, with means tested benefits, with triple locked pensions, and with public services like our brilliant NHS.

Far from those like Liz Truss and Penny Mordaunt who wanted a return to the days of the “nasty party”, this is true one nation Conservatism in action.

It is a statement that looks after the vulnerable more than ever before thanks to a Prime Minister who has been at the heart of taking eye watering decisions to get a firm grip on inflation and ultimately return our economy back to the growth levels we had prior to Covid and the war in Ukraine.
