STAFF at popular Cleethorpes fish and chips restaurant Papa’s had buckets of fish batter and mushy peas poured over them in an effort to raise money for Children In Need.

On Friday, November 18, managers Olivia Coleman, Euan Smith, Bailey Thornton and Sophie Iredale participated in the “Get Battered” challenge which saw them sit on the pier boardwalk and have the mixtures thrown over their heads as people looked on.

Speaking ahead of the challenge, General Manager of Papa’s, Olivia Coleman, said: “We were trying to think of ways to raise money for Children In Need, and we put our heads together and thought, ‘What better way to do it than by throwing a big bucket of batter over our heads?’.

“Four managers are going to sit in the chairs and four members of staff will stand behind us and pour buckets of batter over our heads.

“The donation bucket will be inside the restaurant all weekend, so if anyone wants to come in and donate, feel free!”
