A NEW McDonald’s restaurant has officially opened its doors in Louth.

On Wednesday, November 16, the eatery - at the Fairfield Industrial Estate on Lincoln Way - welcomed its first customers and staff members after being in the pipeline since 2020.

It has brought 120 jobs to the area and will be open 24/7 as well as being equipped with a drive-thru, takeaway, and click and serve.

It’s only the second restaurant in the world to be built to a net carbon zero standard, as the global brand aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2030 in its restaurants and offices.

Franchisee James Thompson who operates five restaurants in Lincoln, Skegness and now Louth, said: “We are delighted to be opening another brandnew McDonald’s restaurant in Lincolnshire and can’t wait to see local Louth customers enjoy our services on offer.

“People are at the heart of our business, and we look forward to welcoming new employees with the jobs our restaurant will create.

“I am also excited to see Louth become one of McDonald’s first restaurants working towards its target of achieving net zero emissions across all its restaurants and offices by 2030.”
