Two more on Town’s injury list

-

PAUL Hurst has confirmed that Grimsby Town have lost two more players to injury this week as they prepare for another tough home assignment against Stevenage.

Steve Evans’ side will travel to Blundell Park, hoping to close the gap or keep pace with Leyton Orient at the top of the League Two table.

In contrast, Hurst and his team are sweating over more injury casualties.

On the positive side of things, the Town boss also revealed that two players have returned to training and will be available for selection today.

It is near impossible to say with certainty who the injured players are at this point, but both are certain to miss quite a few games.

Hurst told BBC Radio Humberside: “We have got a couple out that were available to us last week. As usual, I’m not going to reveal who those players are, to not give a leg up to the opposition, but they are both definitely out. The best case scenario is a couple of weeks on one and six weeks for the other, and who they are will be more obvious to everyone after the weekend.”

Danilo Orsi and Jordan MaguireDrew have had minor issues to deal with over the last couple of weeks which has kept them out of action.

The former has made just six substitute appearances in the league since joining in the summer due to injury frustrations.

However, Town are thin on the ground in some positions and with Hurst confirming that both players have made it through training this week, they are likely to return to the squad today.
