‘Looking forward to welcoming Eastern Airways in Esbjerg’

-

THE managing director of the Danish airport set to welcome Eastern Airways’ new service from Humberside has told of the industry need.

Susanne Kruse Sørensen heads up Esbjerg Airport, the base serving the seaport and Jutland peninsular’s west coast.

She is looking forward to the three-weekly operations commencing next month, as reported last week.

Ms Kruse Sørensen said: “Eastern Airways has been a long-standing partner on this. The airline already operated corporate charter flights between Esbjerg and Humberside during the last few years. The wind energy and maritime sectors are particularly asking for a direct route to ease crew changes and staff deployment on wind farms.

“Moving to a scheduled route is the logical way to improve service for customers. We are really looking forward to welcoming Eastern Airways in Esbjerg.”

The direct flights launch on December 14, and will operate year-round on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
