Abuse victims ‘failed’

TOO many victims of domestic violence and abuse are being let down by a criminal justice system which is going “backwards”, Sir Keir Starmer has said. The Labour leader said survivors too often faced “the rocky, hard, hard road” of the criminal justice system.

He also heard claims that too often family courts were enabling abusers, by ordering contact with children of the family, outside of controlled settings.
