THE holiday spirit is spreading around Grimsby as one family has unveiled an immense Christmas lights display. Martin and Tracey Connolly have turned into a pair of local celebrities as they’ve unveiled some incredible displays over the years.

And over the weekend, they lit up their home on Grasby Crescent once again with arguably their biggest display yet. With the help of their daughters Jasmine and Saffron, the family use this time of year to raise money for local charities, including St Andrew’s Hospice. Several people have travelled long distances to marvel at the magnificent lights show. More than 100 people turned up to watch the family switch on the highly anticipated display this year.

Many even utilised the large Santa sleigh in the driveway for some great photo opportunities.

Over the years, the Connolly’s home has inspired hundreds of others to turn their home fronts into winter wonderlands. A man in Barton has even decided to host his own switch-on in aid of the local food bank after finding out two of his close friends were using it.
