Two EddieTribute Omissions
I enjoyed the EVH tribute issue very much, but there were two glaring omissions. First, Sammy Hagar, the only other guitarist to play with Eddie in VH. It would have been great to have heard his memories of what that was like and his thoughts on Eddie and composing with him for a decade. Second, the person who was instrumental in “discovering” the band, getting them signed to Warner Brothers and having produced their first six classic albums — Ted Templeton. More than anyone, he should’ve been interviewed. Come on, he is the one who insisted Eddie record “Eruption” for the first album! He also has a fantastic autobiography out about his experiences working with VH and many other legendary rock bands. How about an interview with him in a future issue?
