Miss Grit “Blonde”

THIS LATEST TRACK from Miss Grit, the new project from Korean-American guitarist and producer Margaret Sohn, is a masterclass in ethereal shoegaze — building up from Radiohead-y atmospheres into the kind of dramatic crescendo you’d expect near the end of a Nine Inch Nails album. Using a cosmic cocktail of reverbs and delays in combination with octave fuzz and drive, the guitar tones beneath her heavenly vocal harmonies are stunningly cavernous and truly something to behold. This year’s Imposter EP, which follows on from 2019’s Talk Talk debut, will undoubtedly see her rise into becoming one of alternative pop’s finest.
